Spread the need to break generational poverty by equipping girls with resources needed to thrive in the 21st century.

Women on Change (WoC) was born out of grassroots volunteerism and organizing for the most vulnerable. At the age of eight years old, the founder of WoC witnessed her friend’s mother get physically abused by her father in Haiti, and realized the power of women, when they work together for a purpose. In high school, she understood her impact as a volunteer working at an elementary school in Roanoke, VA, USA.  In year 2000, while in college, she launched an all females meetup group, focusing on volunteering, political and global issues that women, girls face, as she travels the globe to learn about the depth of poverty. The WoC blog launched in 2009, focusing on women leadership inequity in government, and businesses with a focus on policy, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). In 2015, WoC became a 501(C) (3) organization to mobilize women and men, to end generational poverty for undeserved girls, by connecting them to 21st century education, STEM resources to secure their future.
